Side by Side Q & A

Well at this point we’re just a little over a week out from kicking off the Side by Side series. I trust that almost all of you at this point have been visited either in your home or elsewhere regarding Side by Side. I am so very excited about taking this particular journey together – it constantly amazes me how our God can use the ordinary stuff of life to work on transforming our hearts. That is what Side by Side is all about…God’s work of transformation within the CRCC family, our East County community, and world.
For this work of transformation, one of the tools at his disposal is our search for land suitable for building a permanent church home. As you recall from last week’s service, I announced that the Board has a 4.55 acre parcel in Troutdale under contract. This means that we now have the freedom to evaluate it in-depth and, if found suitable for development, purchase it together as a church family. We know that you likely have many questions about this whole process and your role in it. Because of this, we’re holding an informal question and answer session after church tomorrow night (Saturday, February 18, 2006). Please come and ask your questions or just listen to the questions others have thought of. Gary Miller, the Board of Trustees chair, and I will do our best to bring you up to speed on the property, the process from this point on, and how very important you are in it all.
